Savvy Snow Fun

Posted by on December 25, 2010

What does a savvy nomad do to have fun in the winter without spending tons of money? Here’s some ideas:

Take a walk on the beach. Too cold? Bundle up!

Make snow angels.

Snow angel = fun & pretty.

"Monster Mash" walk in the woods.

You never know what you will find on your walk - here's a woodsy "stealth camping" hut to explore.

Take a walk on a creek trail or any trail. Look, here's a cute little bridge over one of Duluth's favorite waterways, Chester Creek.

Sledding is fun for all ages. Bundle up, grab your sled (or buy a cheap-y at a local hardware store), find a hill (this country road is part of my mom's driveway) and get moving.

Too tired to walk back up for another run? Don't worry. Someone will help you. Ahhhh, this is the life.

These are just a few ideas for economical winter fun. I’m sure there’s plenty of other things to do on the cheap too.

That was SO much fun!!! What a great day it was. I always have at least one huge fun memory per trip when I come visit you and then lots of other little good memories too! S.
